Artists & Creative Group Leaders, Holdahand - Yorkshire
An opportunity to take part in one of the largest art projects in the country. 64,000 small sculptures of hands are to be distributed across the UK. Hand holders are asked to look after their hands and to take them on a journey for up to a year. We ask all hand holders to be as creative as they wish, taking photos of the hand, decorating it or letting it inspire other work. (theatre & Dance included) Group leaders may work with a group with the hands, giving out hands to group members and then working with the packs available.
Individuals can use the hand in any way they wish. Work can be displayed on various website, social networking groups and any way in which the hand-holder can find.( we encourage groups to hold their own exhibitions)
After a year organisers will ask for all hands to be returned to an exhibition either in person or by post. All hands will be exhibited together.
