My name is Theodor Wolfrum from Bavaria, Germany. I am 20 years old. I have been educated for 3.5 years in a dual jewellery making training system - half of the time I haved work in placement at a goldsmith’s (Goldschmiede Heue, Münchnerstr.11, D-84359 Simbach a. Inn) an the other half of my education I attended the Goldsmith School (Berufsschule für das Bau-und Kunsthandwerk, Luisenstr. 9-11, D-80333 München).

 

As part of my education I have to complete a 24 week work experience placement, which will start in November 2008. I would like to obtain a placement the UK, either in Hatton Garden, London or the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. Ideally I would like to be placed with a goldsmith or setter.

 

The work experience would be arranged through a German organisation called ‘SESAM’:

This organisation supports young people with financial assistance for work experience abroad. They will support me financially for the flight, a flat and living expenses for 24 weeks.
